Welcome to IBP

India is the largest democracy of the world, the right to vote, gives power in the hands of citizens of India to ensure it’s governance of the people, by the people and for the people.

The right to vote is available to all the citizens of India of 18 years and above, they get the opportunity to elect the political leaders and support the political philosophy of their choice and thus, have a say in the nation’s governance, development and future.

This privilege to vote is not available to Citizens below the age of 18 years. However, they may also want to have their say in the governance and development of India. Political parties enroll members of the age above 18 years only. Since, the young citizens of age below 18 years have no other place to go to voice their views on the politics which would matter or be heard, the need for a political party for citizens below the age of 18 years was felt and therefore, on the children’s day 14th November, 2009 Ms. Paratmika Nishchal Padhya founded political party for all the citizens of India below the age of 18 years “The Indian Baccha Party” (IBP).

The IBP has been formed to enable all the children of India to voice their opinion and share their thoughts on various issues covering the problems faced by the nation, the direction to be followed for future developments, contribute and organize programs to draw the attention of the concerned on what the future leaders and young citizens of India are thinking.

The IBP would inculcate and encourage the young citizens to participate in the Political process of India, so as to appreciate and understand the power of vote which they shall be exercising in future and by voicing their views, concerns and sharing their thoughts, they may also influence the citizens who are eligible to vote, this sensibility and understanding of power of vote would inspire the present voters to exercise their franchise and increase the percentage of voting which year by year has been reducing.

Children sometimes have a completely new and innovating thought on varying issues which could also be relating to political matters concerned with governance and / or development or any matter concerned with the nation and its current issues, they also have right to freedom of speech. Let us ask and encourage the children to become strong, fearless and bold to express their views, thoughts and ideas in this regard, however good, bad, funny or ugly they may be. The beginning of such thought itself would be the process of beginning towards the big change which we all want and that is an awakened and responsible citizen of India.

The IBP is not affiliated or associated with any registered political party or NGO of India and does not support or oppose any particular political party in India. The basic mission is to encourage the young citizens of India to take part and pursue interest in the Indian political process so as to safe guard and protect the democratic values of India and there by make positive contribution in protecting the national sovereignty and ensuring national growth.

IBP welcomes all the citizens of India below the age of 18 years to be members and above the age of 18 years to be IBP Guardians.

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high

Where knowledge is free

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments

By narrow domestic walls

Where worlds come out from the depth of truth

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit

Where the mind is led forward by thee

Into ever-widening thought and action into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

- A poem by Rabindranath Tagore
